The EMBRACE GRACE Family = GRACE, LIFE, LEGACY

EMBRACE GRACE

Being pro-life is a stance, or a vote and that is important, but being pro-love is an action.  This is SHBC  reaching out and being the hands and feet of Jesus.  Embrace Grace exists to help SHBC be “pro-love”.  This ministry equips the church to love and encourage single, pregnant young women and their families.  These women experiencing unexpected pregnancies will receive practical, spiritual and emotional support.

The goal of Embrace Grace is to help women see that they and their baby are so loved by Jesus, and that they can have their baby and their dreams as well.  Shawnee Heights Baptist Church desires to be a Pro-Love church, aspiring to make abortion unthinkable.

Embrace Grace meets on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 with a light meal served at 6:15. If you are or know of a single young woman experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and would like to be a part of this group, please call or text Kerry at 785.221.7532, or Lori at 785.224.3168 or Tamra at 785.633.2008.

EMBRACE LIFE

Embrace Life is a faith-based support group for single moms.  It’s perfect for Embrace Grace alumni to continue on to reinforce all they learned in Embrace Grace.  But attending Embrace Grace before Embrace Life is not required.  The curriculum is comprised of 2 11-week semesters.  Semester A focuses on goals and dreams.  Semester B focuses on identity and healthy relationships.  Embrace Life is a great curriculum to point these single moms to Jesus while helping with practical topics she desires to learn about.  There is a fun Adventure Day at the end of each semester to celebrate the single moms and all they’ve accomplished through the semester and new friendships they’ve made.

It meets at the same time as EMBRACE GRACE.

EMBRACE LEGACY

Embrace Legacy is an 11-week faith-based support group for young single dads.  This group is designed to encourage single dads to follow the greatest Father of all – our Heavenly Father- and to make Jesus the foundation on which to build their life’s legacy.  This is a great place for young, single dads to meet with other men of the church and learn how to follow Christ to make a difference in their own lives as well as the lives of their children.  The Embrace Legacy curriculum is “LEGACY, Making the Impossible Possible”.  From the Embrace legacy website: “The greatest LEGACY one can pass on is a LEGACY of character and faith. “ To celebrate the end of the semester for these dads there is an Adventure Day that celebrates these great young fathers and all they have accomplished throughout the semester.

It meets at the same time as EMBRACE GRACE.
