About Shawnee Heights Baptist Church

Our Mission & Vision – Loving God, Making Disciples, Meeting Needs through:

Allowing God’s Love which is in us to overflow into the lives of believers, church leaders, and the lost; to meet the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of the children and adults in our area of influence; and to see people saved, baptized, discipled, and equipped to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ both locally and globally.

Located at the corner of SE 29th Street and Paulen Road, our church building looks more like a “house” than a traditional church building. We think of it more as a “home” where the people inside will welcome you wherever you find yourself in life – the good, the bad, the praising, and the struggling. Jesus Christ loves you where you are and so will the people who meet in this “home” on the corner. We are community oriented and strive to help meet the needs of those who walk through our doors and who live in our Topeka community. 

Faith

We invite you to come check us out this weekend at one of our worship services. We know that going to a new church can be confusing and intimidating, so we try to do things in a way where you’ll feel welcome and not like an outsider. When you come, you can participate or just sit back and observe.

Family

At Shawnee Heights Baptist Church we value the family and we believe church should be a place for people of all ages. Every Sunday we provide children's ministries alongside our regular services, which provides a age-appropriate environment for kids to encounter Christ.

Leadership

Shawnee Heights Baptist Church is guided by a leadership team who provide overall direction and watch over the spiritual needs of the church. Our pastor provides sound, practical, biblical teaching at each worship service. He has received theological and pastoral training and is equipped to share God's love with our local community. Shawnee Heights Baptist Church is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will.
